We have been creating landscapes in the Denver metro area for over 20 years. Our team of professionals has over four decades of experience with Denver and Colorado landscapes.
Our crews are specialists in all aspects of landscape construction. Stonework, concrete, irrigation, planting, grading – you name it. If it’s something we don’t do, like electrical or gas piping, we work with our network of licensed craftsmen for those specialties.
We are fully licensed and insured in all aspects of landscape work.
Our Team
Our team is composed of skilled outdoor craftsmen, designers, and construction professionals who bring decades of combined experience to every project. Each member plays a critical role in transforming vision into structure, ensuring that every phase from concept to completion is executed with precision.
We operate with a design build approach, meaning collaboration, planning, and execution are aligned from the very beginning. This integrated process allows us to maintain quality control, structural integrity, and attention to detail throughout every stage of construction.
Arturo Rendon
Founder/ Owner
Arturo’s journey in the landscape construction industry spans over 35 years, and he’s now the proud owner of Outdoor Design Colorado. His career began in New Mexico, where he developed his expertise in hardscaping and landscape design, mastering techniques that set him apart in the industry.
After relocating to Colorado, Arturo worked with some of the state’s most recognized construction companies. In these roles, he rose to management positions, gaining extensive experience overseeing large construction projects. Though he briefly stepped away from the landscape construction industry to expand his knowledge in general construction, his passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces never faded.
Determined to return to his roots, Arturo founded Outdoor Design Colorado with a mission to offer customized, high-quality outdoor living solutions. His ability to take on complex projects and his drive to build anything from the ground up have made him a standout in the industry.
Matt Merki
Landscape Designer
Matt has been a designer for over 20 years with a broad field of experience in many fields. As a graphic designer, Matt’s sense of layout and design made it an easy transition into landscape design. His passion for creating outdoor living spaces that fit the needs of clients makes him a valuable part of the Outdoor Design Colorado team. Matt looks at all aspects of a project from hardscape to landscape, plant selection with an emphasis on xeriscape, and works with our team on irrigation and drainage issues. Working within their budgetary and lifestyle needs are primary components to creating a dream landscape that becomes an integral part of each clients dream.
Bruce Wilhelm
Landscape Imagineer
Bruce and his family have been involved in the Denver landscape industry since his grandfather started a tree service in 1936. Today he is inspired to help homeowners realize their dream yard. Through careful collaboration on all of the details he listens carefully to lifestyle needs, budgets and landscape preference and works with each client until, together, they get to the point where everything works. He's excited to work with you to imagine and create your landscape
